With the Hispanic population continuing to grow rapidly in Middle Tennessee, this topic is of interest to the women business owners in the area. on Economic and Community Development
Cassel International exhibited at the 54th Annual Governor's Conference on Economic and Community Development held September 12 -13, 2007 at the Nashville Convention Center. The Department of Economic and Community Development's trade representatives from Canada, Japan, Germany and China attended, along with government and industry representatives from throughout Tennessee.. Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen and Commissioner of Economic and Community Development Matt Kisber presented the Governor's Award for Trade Excellence to recognize the achievements of three small, medium and large-sized Tennessee companies engaged in global trade. “Businesses in Tennessee have made great strides in terms of engagement in the global marketplace over the past five years,” said Governor Bredesen. “I believe greater emphasis on exporting Tennessee products around the world will result in more good jobs for Tennesseans.”
Georgetown University Teleclass - August 2007
Carol Webster was asked by the Georgetown Alumni Association to give a teleclass open to all Georgetown University Alumni on August 7, 2007. The one-hour class on "Preparing to Market Your Products Internationally" was very well received and attended by more than 50 alumni. Webster Speaks to CEO Academy Summer Camp - July 2007 Carol Webster was honored to be asked to speak at CEO Academy's Summer Camp Luncheon Series on July 16, 2007. At the request of CEO Academy, her topic was "What I Wish I Knew About Business at Your Age".

Cassel International participated in the Small Business Association Matchmaking Event held on April 17, 2007 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. Meetings were held with numerous potential clients including the U.S. Army; MARTA; the City of Atlanta; Georgia; Fulton County, Georgia; Macy's South; and MasterCard.
Introduction to Exporting Seminar Carol Webster of Cassel International was asked to participate in an Introduction to Exporting Seminar sponsored by the Department of Commerce U.S. Commercial Service and the Tennessee Small Business Development Centers. The seminar was held in Gallatin, Tennessee on March 12, 2007. National Association of Women Business Owners National Conference Carol Webster spoke at the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida on June 10, 2005 about "Preparing to Market Your Product Internationally".
